Key and functional tasks of the Department

The Office of the Registrar is the Academic department of the University responsible for the student database along with the organization and monitoring of the educational process.

Key and functional tasks of the position

·        Development and tracking of all Decisions including but not limited to Leave of Absence, Voluntary Withdrawal, Disciplinary dismissals, Academic Dismissals, Progression;

·        Monitoring the process of development and management of the Office nomenclature and Office documentation management;

·        Management of all documentation for approval for Academic Council, Managing Council and Board of Trustees;

·        Point person for all HR postings and hiring processes along with other information from HR;

·        Development of the Office Procedure manual;

·        Follow-up on changes made in policies that affect the document management above;

·        Working with documents regarding translations into/from Russian, Kazakh and English;

·        Assistant to the Registrar with Project Management;

·        Working with other areas of the Office as needed;

·        Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.


Master’s degree

Required professional experience 

·        Knowledge of the educational system of the USA, EU and other countries;

·        Experience in Office management;

Professional competence and personal qualities

·        Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team;

·        Ability to handle simultaneously a wide range of tasks;

·        A high level of organizational skills;

·        Effective networking skills;

Languages Proficiency

Fluent English, Russian, and Kazakh

Computer Literacy

Advanced user of MS Office (with specific experience in MS Access)
