Post Title: Manager (HR)

 Reports to: the Executive Director and Dean of the School

 Responsible for: no direct reports

 Main Purpose of the Role

To provide administrative support

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the School including but not limited to: drafting memos, analytical information and endorsing documents, service agreements of confidential nature, processing business trip requests and reports, leave requests, reimbursement forms, translating reports and other duties.

 

  1. Participate in the administrative/administrative-academic staff hiring processes, organizes when necessary pre-placement visits of staff to Astana.

 

  1. Assist with managing the School recruitment budget in accordance with NU financial regulations, assist in monitoring expenditure of business trips and professional development of the School allocated budgets, and keeping within budget.

 

  1. Assist with a full faculty induction process in cooperation with administration of the University, as well as other external bodies etc.

 

  1. Assist faculty and staff with obtaining the required for work documents, the registration in the tax and migration bodies of Astana.

 

  1. Participate in the development and implementation of improvements to HR or other administrative support systems.

 

  1. Take part in organization of training and professional development of staff in coordination with the Executive director of the School and other relevant colleagues.

 

  1. Liaise with the central NU Departments in providing reports and data as required.

 

  1. Process payment of invoices.

 

  1. Maintenance of HR databases, confidential HR files and documentation. Ensuring compliance with relevant data protection policies and labour legislation.

 

  1. Carry out any other duties as required.

Undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification in Human Resources Management, Law or Economics, Management

 

Experience and Knowledge

 

 

Experience of working in an international organization or with culturally diverse teams

 

General HR experience within a large organisation, including recruitment, performance management and staff motivation and development

 

An up-to-date knowledge of Kazakhstan employment law

 

Experience of working within higher education
