Key and functional tasks of the department

– development of Technopark as an attractive place for start-up companies, small and medium enterprises (hereinafter- SME);

– formation of the industrial experts, researchers, technology entrepreneurs and investors communities;

– communication development between technopark residents and university to give rise to innovational projects.

Key and functional tasks of the position

– work coordination of Technopark, achievements of key performance indicators;

– attraction of residents;

– organization of comfortable conditions for technological start-up companies and SME placement;

– coordination of interactions between Technopark’s residents and faculty, scientific community and students;

– coordination of activities aimed for the interaction between representatives of the University, the business/industry sector, state sector (Hackathon, competitions, seminars, trainings, etc.);

– searching for new projects and attracting partners, formation of the innovation community (experts, projects, companies);

-participation in the development of long-term and annual work plans of division;

– interaction with other structural subdivisions of the institution on the development and promotion issues;

– monitoring and implementation of the task plan, contractual obligations.

Education

– Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in the field: business administration, economics and marketing, innovation management, strategic management, economics and marketing, innovation development, natural sciences, engineering sciences. Diploma of completion of a foreign university is welcome.

Desired professional experience

– Work experience in the field of innovations development / management of innovative/technological projects for at least 5 years; work experience in preparing budget requests, management and supporting contracts.

– Knowledge of the fundamentals of project management;

Professional skills and personal characteristics

Ability to lead the work of structural subdivision independently, understanding of technological business development at different stages, skills to manage the project portfolio, to be initiative, organizational skills, communication skills, ability to work in a team, stress resistance. Ability to work with people of different cultures and age.

The level of language proficiency, including official language, (specify what languages)

Fluency in Kazakh and Russian languages. Proficiency in English is welcome.

Computer skills

High level of PC skills (Microsoft Office)
