Доцент, директор программы магистратуры
Уроженец Сыктывкара (Россия), Алексей Трошев (PhD, Университет Торонто; MPA, Канзасский университет; диплом «правоведение» Сыктывкарского государственного университета) преподает методологию исследования политической науки, международное право, и курс «право, политика и общество». До этого он преподавал в Университете Висконсина-Мэдисона, в Университете Квинс (Кингстон), в Канаде и Поморском государственном университете в Архангельске (Россия).
В период с 2002 по 2008 год он участвовал в канадско-российском проекте «Судебное партнерство» и семинарах по федерализму между Канадой и Россией, в которых приняли участие судьи КС РФ и ВС РФ и высокопоставленные правительственные чиновники из обеих стран. Он редактирует журнал «Статуты и решения: Законодательство СССР и государств-преемников» (Taylor & Francis), последние номера которого затронули вопросы этики адвокатов в России, судебной политики в Украине, реформы полиции в России, реформы уголовного права и процесса в Казахстане, и административной юстиции в России и Кыргызской Республики. Его текущие исследовательские проекты исследуют: 1) судебную профессию в Казахстане; и 2) поведение судей вне судов. Он объясняет, почему сейчас самое время изучать право и политику в Евразии.
