I am a Cardiologist with main interest in Clinical Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging. I am Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, with a PhD in "Stress echocardiography" from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. During my professional journey, I have worked at the Thoraxcentre in Rotterdam, in Rome, Italy, at Sandro Pertini hospital (Head of the Echocardiography Laboratory) and at Policlinico Luigi Di Liegro (Head of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department), in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and in Doha, Qatar (Director of the Noninvasive Cardiology). I joyned NU in 2020 as Full Professor and I am currently the Acting Chair of the Department of Medicine.

Echocardiography; Cardiac imaging; Valve diseases; Heart failure.
