The Graduate School of Public Policy had an Open House Event at Nazarbayev University. Participants had a unique chance to get additional information on the Master in Public Policy (MPP) program, including information regarding admissions, scholarships and curriculum.
Guest speakers included Simon Jones, the Provost of Nazarbayev University, Peter Howie, Associated professor of the GSPP NU, and Eduardo Araral, Professor and former Vice-Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY).
“Instruction during MPP program will be held in English and will include the participation of LKY School faculty. During the program, students will have a unique opportunity to study in the LKY School where they will research many of the important issues facing Kazakhstan from the perspective of Singapore’s experiences. Students also have a chance to network with public servants, practitioners and policy makers of Singapore,” said Alzhan Braliyev, the Executive Director of the Graduate School of Public Policy.
The Graduate School of Public Policy is currently accepting applications for its two-year MPP program. The application deadline is May 31, 2013. The MPP program commences in August 2013.
According to Alzhan Braliyev, tuition will be covered by the State budget. Applicants are required to have at least two years of experience in the public sector, international organizations, non-governmental organizations or the private sector.
