NU students took part in the Silk Road International Summer School

Share this articleOn 25-27 July, 2017 NU hosted 43 undergraduate students, participating in the Silk Road International Summer School organized by the joint efforts of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Xi’an Jiaotong University.
Students come from 6 universities-members of the University Alliance of the Silk Road, namely, Xi’an Jiaotong University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, NU, Beijing University of Technology, Capital Normal University, and Capital University of Economics and Business. Among the participants there are 5 undergraduate students from NU.
During the 3 day-part in Astana students had a unique opportunity to merge into the Kazakhstani culture, attend the lectures on Eurasian studies and Energy, and visit EXPO-2017 site.
This year summer school brought new destinations – Astana and Beijing and enabled students to learn about sustainable development and future energy, raising their cultural awareness and facilitating the dialogue between the young generations within the Asian region.
