Share this articleNazarbayev University is now accepting online applications for paid bachelor’s degree programs for the 2024-2025 academic year. The application period will remain open until November 29, 2024 (1:59 PM, Astana time).
Classes will begin mid-academic year, starting on January 13, 2025.
This year, the admission process for fee-paying students has been simplified. A motivation letter is no longer required. The English language proficiency requirements have also changed for the Foundation, Bachelor’s, and Master’s programs. Applicants must score at least 5.5 on IELTS or 46 on TOEFL iBT for the Foundation program. For Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, a minimum of 6.0 on IELTS or 60 on TOEFL iBT is required. No additional exams are necessary. By streamlining the admission process, NU aims to attract the most talented applicants and increase accessibility.
Tuition fees vary by program, ranging from 5,808,000 KZT per year. Social benefits are available for orphans, students from large families, and students with disabilities. For these categories, tuition for Foundation, Bachelor’s, and Master’s programs may range from 1,500,000 to 2,000,000 KZT per year. Special rates are also available for employees of Kazakhstan’s public institutions for postgraduate studies.
For grant applicants, the admission procedure remains unchanged. Applicants for bachelor’s programs must submit NUET, SAT/ACT results (minimum 1240/26), IB Diploma, A-level/NIS Grade 12 Certificate, or diplomas from international and/or national academic competitions. IELTS/TOEFL scores (minimum 6.0/60) are also required. Grants are awarded annually by the government, depending on the state budget.
