NU Hosts Training for Leaders of Central Asia and the Caucasus

The Central Eurasia Leaders Alliance (CELA) educational program has kicked off at the NU Graduate School of Business.

The annual 10-day leadership program, 'CELA Leadership Academy,' is a unique opportunity for top managers from Central Asia and Caucasus. From July 15 to 25, participants not only gain invaluable professional and personal development knowledge from business experts and educational speakers but also immerse themselves in a unique cultural experience in Kazakhstan.

CELA is a forum and network for Central Eurasian leaders who continually expand their leadership skills and have a positive impact on their families, businesses, and communities. Founded in 2002 by the Society of International Business Fellows (SIBF), a global network of senior executives and senior managers from  from the US, CELA now brings together participants from 10 countries such as Georgia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Armenia and Turkmenistan.  

In his opening address, Joep Konings, Dean of the NU Graduate School of Business, spoke about NU GSB programs and noted the relevance of leadership to global business schools that are actively exploring best leadership practices and approaches.

NU Graduate School of Business ranks in the top 3% among all business schools in the world and in the top 30% among research-intensive business schools, and is ranked 1st among research-intensive business schools in Kazakhstan and the Eurasian region.The Leadership Academy was previously held at Koç University in Turkey and Kutaisi International University in Georgia.
