NU hosted an educational conference “Climate Talks”

The consequences of climate change were discussed at the “Climate Talks” conference organized by NU Green Campus, UNDP, and corporate foundation “National Conservation Initiative”.

More than 100 people from various countries participated in the conference, with ecologists, representatives of state bodies and NGOs, NU students and professors among them.

During the conference, local and international experts shared their perspectives and experiences of the negotiation process for treaties on climate change as well as predictions of the planet’s possible climate change.

Participants learned a lot about the current climate change policy in Kazakhstan, emission reduction measures taken by the government and public organizations of the country, as well as innovative green projects. Also, as part of the discussion club, conference participants offered their vision on mitigation of emissions and adaptation to climate change.
