NU GSE participates in a global educational project

Recently, Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education became a regional partner of NORRAG for the implementation of the global project “Knowledge and Innovation Exchange Hub in Europe, Asia and the Pacific” (aka  “KIX”). NORRAG is a global membership-based network of international policies and cooperation in education, established in 1986.

The project supports the exchange of knowledge, innovation, and best practices among more than 20 countries around the world in order to strengthen their national education systems. The fundamental principle of KIX is the idea that knowledge and innovation already exist in these countries, and KIX’s mission is to help manifest this knowledge and determine how to scale up innovation. As a regional training partner of NORRAG, GSE NU will engage and support education stakeholders from all participating countries to achieve this goal and contribute to improving their educational systems.

Creating a Knowledge Exchange Digital Platform. The project’s website will collect scientific knowledge, tools, and podcast recordings. Workshops and webinars will be held.

Training of national experts. Every year, 3 people from each country will work on research projects and develop case studies on innovation under the mentorship of NORRAG experts.

Innovative projects will be developed and the possibility of their wide distribution in the country will be explored.

The project period is 45 months, starting in April 2020.

Upcoming activities of the Center include, in particular, production and exchange of knowledge in the form of “Training cycles”, as well as the dissemination of knowledge through webinars, podcasts, KIX digital platform, and blogs. Through training cycles, national experts will be given the opportunity to improve their skills and participate more actively in the production of knowledge relevant at the country and regional levels, so that participating countries can benefit from KIX.

The project also provides small grants for getting acquainted with innovations and interesting pilot projects of associates.
