On April 5, 2018 at Nazarbayev University in the framework of celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Astana was held literary and musical evening “Zhyr-Semser, Kui-Kudiret, Olen-Ornek”. This event was dedicated to poet-zhyrau Makhambet Utemisuly, great composer Kurmangazy Sagyrbauly, and poetess Fariza Ongarsynova.
Theatrical performances “Makhambet – the spirit of The Great Steppe”, “Life of the Kazakh people in Kurmangazy’s kuis”, “The greatness of Mother” were presented by second and fourth-year students from three Nazarbayev University Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology, Engineering: Samal Akinova, Aida Amantayeva, Yeldana Bakhytzhan, Akniyet Dinislam, Darkhan Kalymtayev, Adilbek Kamiyev, Dinara Khalelova, Madina Kushukova, Indira Makhazan, Ayaulym Maratova, Kuandyk Maxutov, Nurzhamal Sadir, Zhassulan Sailau, Fazyl Tokanov, Zhanat Zhenisbekova, Aisulu Zholdaspekova, Aibek Kukpayev, Yelshat Makarov, Zhansaya Raimova and Kurmangazy kuis were performed by the representatives of NU Orchestra.
– Such events, dedicated to the great personalities of the Kazakh people, will educate young people to respect the national values,- commented Gultas Kurmanbay, the Director of the Cultural Center Rukhani Zhangyru, Nazarbayev University.
In the event, organized by the students under the guidance of the Cultural Center Rukhani Zhangyru honored artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, parliamentarians, poets and writers, ournalists, scientists, university faculty, school directors and teachers participated.
