NU signed a memorandum of cooperation with one of the leading Azerbaijani higher education institutions – ADA University. The parties identified the main areas of collaboration between the two universities, such as support of academic and research activities, joint research projects of mutual interest, strengthening professional development, cooperation on student exchange and summer schools, and other promising areas for development. The universities share a similar aspiration to be world-class universities cultivating excellence. In September 2022, Office of Global Relations representatives led by the Head, Aliya Kaimoldinova, paid a visit to the campus of ADA University to establish institutional ties between universities of the two countries situated on the two sides of the Caspian Sea.
ADA University is a young university established in 2014 and located in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. ADA University was created due to merging the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and the Information Technologies University. Today, the university offers an array of research-focused undergraduate and graduate programs in areas such as Public and International Affairs, Business, IT and Engineering, Education and Law. Disciplines are taught in the English language as at NU. The student body comprises around 2500 students, with 6% (150) international students.
