Nazarbayev University School of Medicine, established in 2014, in the dynamic capital of Astana, Kazakhstan, is seeking Instructors for the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Candidates working in any area of biomedical sciences, including microbiology, cell biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, genetics, anatomy and population medicine and public health, are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will have an MD, PhD, or equivalent graduate/professional degree and professional teaching and/or research experience. Excellent communication skills and English fluency are required.
Nazarbayev University School of Medicine (NUSOM) is being developed in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and will offer a US-style curriculum taught in English. The school will open to its inaugural class of students in fall 2015. NUSOM’s mission is to educate a new generation of clinically skilled and research-focused physicians prepared for leadership positions in research, academia, and health care to improve the health of individuals in Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and around the world.
