Kazakhstani economic researcher presented a book about financial crisis

This book is an attempt to reconsider the causes of the world crisis in 2008 and its impact on the Kazakhstani economy, to analyze anticrisis measures taken by world leading countries, and to evaluate the effectiveness of anticrisis measures taken by the Government of Kazakhstan. The author attempted to define important lessons of the world financial crisis that might be considered in terms of studying the situation in the national economies of world leading countries and in Kazakhstan. Special attention in the book is paid to the problems of modernization and diversification of the economy of Kazakhstan, regarding its peculiarities and the regularities of a changing world.

Doctor of Economics and Professor Arystan Y. Yessentugelov is an author of a number of books including “Systemic analysis in regional planning”, “Market economy is the Kazakhstani choice” and “Institutional and structural reforming of the economy in Kazakhstan”. He is also an author of more than 200 research papers, monographs, books and articles in Economics. The presentation event was moderated by the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the “National Analytical Center” JSC, the famous public expert in Economics Zhannat Yertlessova. The event was attended by the representatives of national think-tank organizations, universities, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other government bodies.

The National Analytical Centre is an affiliated organization of Nazarbayev University. Its mission is improving the competitiveness of the national economy by providing research support to government authorities and to Nazarbayev University.
