The First International Innovation Development Forum ABC Forum 2017 "Development of technological entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan" took place on 24-25 August 2017 at Technopark Astana Business Campus of Nazarbayev University.
Technopark Astana Business Campus became the main platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge in the technological entrepreneurship and innovative development in Kazakhstan for two days.
The event brought together more than 200 recognized experts, top managers and representatives of Kazakhstan and foreign business, state bodies, venture funds, development institutions, financial institutions, universities, entrepreneurs-innovators, researchers and representatives of commercialization offices of Kazakhstan and foreign universities.
Guests had an extensive program of events in various formats to explore the main theme in all its aspects: interactive demo sessions and master classes, roundtable, panel discussions, exhibition of the best projects of the Astana Business Campus innovation cluster, seminars, presentations and networking, as well as the main event of the forum - Demo Day, where the results of the accelerated program "ABC Quick Start 2017" were presented.
Within the framework of the forum the innovation cluster Astana Business Campus was presented by Aidar Zhakupov, General Director of PI Nazarbayev University Research and Innovation System. ABC includes Technopark, Commercialization Office, Business Incubator, the Experimental workshop and Contract Research Office of the Nazarbayev University. Possibilities of cooperation of ABC with start-up companies, innovators, scientists, as well as with entrepreneurs and business angels were presented by Aidar Zhakupov.
"To develop high-tech business, Astana Business Campus offers a wide range of services to national companies, start-ups, development institutions, universities, investors, and to the city itself. This can be the placement of R&D centers and laboratories, contract researches services, search for and selection of promising innovative projects, solution of the city's technological challenges, access to personnel and innovative projects, elaboration of development strategies, concepts, networking opportunities, trainings and organization of different types of events with involvement of leading experts and opinion leaders," - was concluded by Aidar Zhakupov.
It should be noted that leading experts from such countries as Great Britain (Oxford University), USA (Penn Center for Innovation, University of Pennsylvania), Russia (Akadempark, Novosibirsk) and Ukraine (ArtKB, Kiev) were invited by Nazarbayev Universityas as speakers to participate in the ABC Forum 2017.
