Employer Appreciation Event: NU as a Bridge Between Students and Their Future Employers

Share this articleThe Career and Advising Center of the University honored the top employers at its traditional event held on December 5th, which gathered representatives from over 50 domestic and international companies.
The graduate employment rate stands at 98%, with alumni working at leading companies both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
The event opened with a welcoming speech by Kadisha Dairova, Vice President for Student Affairs and International Cooperation at NU.
«We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our employers. Your support in the form of internships plays a key role in shaping the future professionals of tomorrow. Our graduates possess the 10 skills of the future identified by the World Economic Forum, and we are proud of their accomplishments», — noted Kadisha Dairova.
It is particularly important to highlight that, in 2024, the total number of NU graduates exceeded 10,000. The majority of them choose to work in Kazakhstan, contributing to the country’s development. Among the largest employers are organizations such as KPMG, Tengizchevroil, BI Group, Ernst & Young, the National Bank of Kazakhstan, and PwC. Additionally, a significant number of graduates continue their careers at the university (639 individuals) and at the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (241 individuals).
During the event, Nurkhan Omarbekov, Director of the Department of Enrollment Management, presented information on the new admission rules for the university, while Gulnaz Bulebayeva, General Manager of the Office of Graduate Studies, discussed microcredit programs. Liliya Tleukenova, General Manager of the Career and Advising Center, shared plans to expand cooperation with employers in 2025.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of letters of appreciation to the most active employers by Kadisha Dairova. She emphasized the importance of the partnership between the university and employers as an integral part of providing Kazakhstan with high-quality human capital.
