Share this articleOn February 7, NU hosted "Darmarka" – an environmental initiative aimed at reusing items and reducing waste.
The event was organized by the Office of Sustainable Development and USM.
During the event, a variety of items in good condition were collected, including clothing, toys, board games, plastic containers, paper, cardboard, expired medications, bags, and batteries. All collected items were donated to charitable organizations and sent for recycling.
A significant contribution to the initiative was made by LikeKomek, which provided support in organizing and managing waste disposal. Additionally, school volunteers from the "Ambassadors of the Earth" project actively participated in the collection and sorting process.
Thanks to collective efforts, it was possible not only to reduce the volume of waste but also to give items a second life. Such initiatives contribute to the development of an eco-conscious culture, where everyone can play a role in preserving the environment.
