How to apply

Applicants must go through the online registration process to sign up for the entry examinations to the Nazarbayev University Foundation Year Program.


Step 1. Create your personal account

Go to portal, press the “Sign up” button and fill out the required information in the English language.

At the time of the registration Consent to personal data processing should be given according to the online form.

After completing the registration, confirm the registration and Consent to personal data processing by clicking on a link sent to your mailbox.

Read the instructions about the registration procedure given in your personal account.

Step 2. Pay the application fee

Application fee shall be paid online in your personal account at “My application forms” page via bank card.

Application fee is 3 000 tenge for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 14 000 tenge for non-citizens.

If there is no card you may use the card of another person.

Please NOTE: in case of refusal from further participation in the selection process, the registration fee will not be refunded.

Step 3. Fill out the application form

Open the Foundation Program link at “My Application Forms” page and fill out the Foundation Application Form. Make sure you entered all the required information in a correct manner and after that press “Upload” button.

Step 4. Submit the required documents

After filling out the application form you are required to submit:

1. a scanned copy of a proof of your studies at a final grade/course (according to the template with photo) or certificate/diploma with transcripts if you have already completed relevant level of study;

2. applicants who created personal account before opening of the online registration on September 29, 2019 should fill out by hand, scan and upload scanned copy of a signed Consent to personal data processing to their personal account;

3. national identity card or passport.

If an applicant submits to Nazarbayev University his/her IELTS/TOEFL certificate results, an official electronic test report form of IELTS/TOEFL should be sent by the Test Administrator directly to Nazarbayev University. Applicant should also upload its scanned copy to his/her personal account.

Step 5. Finish the registration process

After completing all above-mentioned steps please press the SUBMIT APPLICATION button.

After that you cannot introduce any changes to your application form and change your submitted documents.

Further steps

Please check your e-mail 1-2 weeks before each exam – the information of upcoming exam date, time and venue along with Exam Rules will be sent there.

Please keep in mind that sometimes letters from the University may go to spam box.
