Dr. Alizadeh is an assistant professor in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics at Nazarbayev University’s School of Science and Technology. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Sahand University of Technology, Tabriz, Iran in 2004 and his M.Sc. in Automation and Instrumentation Engineering from Petroleum University of technology in 2007. From 2007 to 2009 he was a faculty member of Electrical Engineering department at Bonab University, Bonab, Iran. Dr. Alizadeh received his Ph.D. degree in 2014 from University of Genova and Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), Genova, Italy and afterwards, he joined the department of robotics and mechatronics as a faculty member.
Together with his co-authors, Dr. Alizadeh was CoTeSys cognitive robotics best paper award finalist in IROS 2013. His research interests include robot programming by demonstration (also known as imitation learning), applied machine learning in the field of robotics, human-robot interaction and statistical modelling of human movements.
