Dr Serik Orazgaliyev is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy (Nazarbayev University). His research appeared in reputable international journals such as Thunderbird International Business Review, International Journal of the Commons and Journal of Eurasian Studies. Dr.Orazgaliyev’s previous appointments include visiting faculty position at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore and visiting research affiliate at Cambridge Central Asia Forum. Before joining academia Dr Orazgaliyev also worked as a practitioner in the Parliament of Kazakhstan. He is the recipient of the Bolashak International Scholarship and Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Scholars Award. 

Dr. Orazgaliyev’s research interests include governments and multinational enterprises (MNEs), institutions and development policies, international political economy, Central Asian Studies, petroleum resource management. He is currently involved in teaching the following courses: Institutions and Development Policies (MPA617), Law and Development (MPA623), and Good Governance and Corruption (co-teaching).
