Dr Serik Orazgaliyev joined the Graduate School of Public Policy as an Instructor in 2016. He received his doctoral degree in Politics and International Studies from University of Cambridge. In 2017 (fall semester) Dr.Orazgaliyev was a visiting Assistant Professor at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, where he conducted research on transboundary water management and delivered guest lectures. 

Dr.Orazgaliyev’s areas of research include: Governments and multinational enterprises (MNEs), institutions and development policies, comparative constitutional law, Central Asian Studies, political economy of petroleum resource management, transboundary water management. 

Dr.Orazgaliyev has practical experience of working in public sector as he served five years as a civil servant in the Parliament of Kazakhstan prior to joining the academia as a lecturer in the Department of International Law in Gumilyev Eurasian National University. He also served as a consultant in a working group at the Ministry of Economic Development on “Kazakhstan-2025” Strategy (sub-group 4: ‘Effectiveness of institutions and public management’).
