Sergey Kondyan is an Assistant Professor in Economics in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nazarbayev University. He received Master of Science degree in Economics from East Carolina University in 2006 and Ph.D. in economics from North Carolina State University in August, 2012.

Sergey Kondyan has engineering background graduating with the Master of Engineering diploma in 1994 and the diploma of Engineer-Researcher in 1996 from the State Engineering University of Armenia.

Sergey’s research interests are in the fields of Economic Growth, Macroeconomics, and Applied Econometrics. His current research focuses on the open economy aspects of economic growth in the dynamic general equilibrium setting.
