Sarkyt Аliszhan is an Associate Professor at the SHSS at Nazarbayev University. He is a linguist with a broad research background.
He earned a doctor of philological sciences (2007) at A. Baitursynov Institute of linguistics, Almaty, Kazakhstan. Between 2000 and 2002 he was an executive secretary in Terminology commission at the Government of RK. From 2000 to 2003 he carried out scientific secretary’s duties in Dissertation Council 14.29.02; was elected a member of Dissertation Council 14.29.02. at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana.
Dr. Аliszhan published more than 100 scientific articles and works.
His basic works are “Syntax of the Kazakh scientific speech” (monograph) (Almaty, 2007); “Syntax of modern Kazakh language” (Astana, 2011); “Kazakh terminology: theory and practice” (Astana, 2005); “Philosophical terminology in modern Kazakh language” (Astana, 2002); the Russian-Kazakh-English dictionary (Astana, 2004).
