EDUCATION
Graduate: Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry, graduated May, 2010
University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, August 2004 – October 2009 (defended)
Dissertation is focused on characterization of tunable IR properties of gold/silver nanocrescents (NCs) , their application as high enhancement substrate in Surface-Enhanced Infrared Absorption Spectroscopy (SEIRA) and profiling of an induced electric field near NC surface.
Undergraduate: Kharkiv’s National University, Department of Chemistry, Kharkiv, Ukraine
September 1989— June 1994 Specialist in Chemistry, June 1994 (specialization in Physical Chemistry)
QUALIFIQATIONS and RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am a physical, analytical and nanomaterial chemist by training. My core research interests are nanofabrication, characterization and application of novel tunable plasmonic nanostructures, plasmonic biosensing, surface chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry and particularly immunoassays, Surface Enhanced Spectroscopies and especially Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS).
