Dr. Ableeva received her Ph.D. in French and Applied Linguistics (2010) from the Pennsylvania State University (USA). She also holds a MA/BA in French Linguistics from Moscow State Linguistic University (Russia). 
Dr. Ableeva’s research interests include: Theories of Second Language Acquisition, Assessment in Language Education, Computer-mediated Language Learning and Teaching, Socio-Cultural Approaches to Second Language Learning and Language Pedagogy, Development of Listening and Reading Comprehension in a Second Language, Discourse Analysis and Variationist Linguistics.
