Nazim Mir Nasiri

Nazim Mir-Nasiri from 2013 until present has been holding a position of Professor of Electrical and Electronics Department at the School of Engineering of Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. Throughout his career he has published more than 80 scientific papers in the fields of his interest: Design of Mechanisms, Robot Design and Control, Machine Vision, Intelligent Systems. He is the member of IEEE and IET, the editorial board member of the “International Journal of Mechatronics and Automation (IJMA)”, Inderscience Publishers and “International Journal of Automation and Computing (IJAC)”, Springer Verlag. He has received several awards at the International Exhibitions and Competitions in Kuala Lumpur for his innovative design work while he was holding a position of Professor and Coordinator of Mechatronics Program at the School of Engineering of Swinburne University of Technology (Malaysian campus of Australian university) from 2005 to 2012. Currently he is a leader of the ORAU evaluated and NU funded 3-year (2016-2018) project on “Design and Development of Energy Efficient Lower Extremity Exoskeleton for Human Motion Enhancement and Medical Assistance.” Total allocated budget is 300,000 USD.
