Before entering academia in 2004, I worked for nearly 20 years in industry, primarily on research and systems development projects for US DoD customers. During the past 8 years, I have been the PI on research grants totaling about $200K from the NSF and industry (computer science education) and co-PI on grants totaling over $4.2M from DoD and the NSF (virtual 3D environments for medical training and computer science education).
My current research interests include computer science education and pervasive computing.
