Md. Hazrat Ali obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from IIUM, Malaysia and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan. His Ph.D. thesis comprised of integrated control systems to develop automatic deep-hole measurement system applying laser beam, optical components, CCD camera, servo and stepper motors with a computer-based feedback control technique. He has also been involved in gear profile measurement with an integrated vision system to enhance the safety and reliability of precision measurement. The research was carried out under the scholarship of the Japanese Government (MEXT). He was awarded Silver and Bronze medals for his scientific research accomplishments in the “Technology Innovation Exhibition 2010”, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has over 80 scientific publications in indexed Journals, Conference proceedings, and Symposiums.
