Maria Agrelo Lareo holds a Bachelor and Master in Spanish Language, Literature and Civilization, from the University of Via Domitia, in Perpignan (France).

Her research interests focused on the rituals present in Mayan mythology. She is also interested in medieval literature, more specifically on the notion of “amour courtois” and its influences on the Italian literature genre, called “dolce stil novo”.

After (two years of PhD), she decided to undertake a Master in Linguistics, in “French as a Foreign Language”, that she obtained from the University of Paul Valéry III, in Montpellier (France). Her work was dedicated to intercultural references and notions in the process of teaching and learning French.

Recently, she has worked as an MFL instructor (French and Spanish).

She joined the Department of Languages, Linguistics and Literatures in August 2016.
