Professor Didier Talamona holds a PhD in “science for engineers” (mechanical engineering) from the University Blaise Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand, France. He has spent some time working with diesel engines with Cummins-Wärtsilä in france. He was awarded a Marie Currie individual fellowship to develop a shell fine element for the software SAFIR at the University of Liege, Belgium. Later he joined Ulster University (UK) as a research fellow before taking a faculty position in Singapore working for an offshore campus
Professor Talamona research interests include, Additive Manufacturing, Green Concrete, composites and sustainable development as well as Fire Safety engineering.
