Ali Turkyilmaz is an Associate Professor at the Master of Engineering  Management Program and Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at NU. His research and teaching area include production and service systems management, quality management, lean six sigma, new product and service development, data analysis, and decision support systems. He has taught courses at Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management programs in various countries and supervised many graduate thesis projects.

Dr. Turkyilmaz has served as an editorial board member of 8 journals, including Industrial Management and Data Systems, International Journal of Management and Enterprise Development (IJMED), International Journal of Supply Chain Management, and International Journal of Services and Standards. He is the author of more than 70 publications in various journals and conference proceedings. He has received the Emerald’s Outstanding Paper Award in 2012 and the best paper award of IMDA, International Management Development Association, in 2005.

Besides his academic activities, he also has broad industry experience as a consultant and project coordinator. He holds certifications as ISO 9001 lead auditor, occupational health and safety trainer, and consultant for business companies, SMEs in particular.
