Divided into 44 teams, participants were tasked with solving six business cases within just 24 hours.
Participants developed innovative solutions in two main tracks: business and social impact projects.
The hackathon was traditionally organized by the NU Alumni Association with the support of the Corporate Foundation “Social Development Fund.”
Each team worked on a real-world challenge from one of six partner companies. After selecting a case, teams had a limited time to create a full solution—from concept to final pitch. Winners in each track received cash prizes:
1st place – 300,000 KZT
2nd place – 200,000 KZT
3rd place – 100,000 KZT
In addition, participants received branded merchandise, certificates, and internship offers from partner organizations.
This year, IdeaThon 2025 went beyond the university community. For the first time, the hackathon welcomed participants from Specialized School No. 9 “Zerde,” L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, MNU, Astana IT University, AlfaSystems LLP, Canadian International School, and Riviera International School. As a result, the event became an open platform for experience exchange and idea generation among students, alumni, and emerging entrepreneurs.
