The NU School of Medicine hosted two key events on October 22-23, 2024: the IV International Pharmaceutical Forum, "Global Pharm," and the IV International Medical Equipment Forum, "MedTech."

These forums have emerged as premier gatherings in Kazakhstan's healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, providing a vital platform for business-to-business (B2B) and government-to-business (G2B) interactions.

Discussions centered on sharing best practices, forging stronger partnerships, advancing international collaboration, and integrating the latest technologies into healthcare and pharmaceuticals. The forums also explored scientific development, workforce training, the expansion of exports in Kazakhstan's pharmaceutical sector, and the modernization of medical facilities with cutting-edge equipment.

The events attracted over 300 in-person delegates and more than 2,000 online participants worldwide, reflecting the high level of interest in the growth of Kazakhstan's pharmaceutical industry and healthcare system. Representatives from the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, SK-Pharmacy LLP, the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control under the Ministry of Healthcare, Nazarbayev University, the National Center for Expertise of Medicines, Medical Devices, and Medical Equipment, as well as leaders from public health organizations, BigPharma, domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, and companies from other CIS countries, attended the forums.

One of the event's highlights was a virtual roundtable featuring global industry leaders such as Johnson & Johnson, Biocad, Takeda, Novartis, Nobel, Santo, and Stada. The "Silk Way Development Fund" (E-Forum.net project) organized the forums with support from the Kazakh Government, the Ministry of Healthcare, SK-Pharmacy LLP, and by partnering with NU Medicine.
