The NU stipend

The NU Stipend is awarded to students studying under the “NU” educational grant, in accordance with the procedures established by the Regulations on stipend support provision to the students of the autonomous organization of education “NU”.

The amount of the NU Stipend is determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The NU Stipend is awarded to NUFYP, residency and doctoral students for the whole period of study and is paid on a monthly basis.

During the first semester of study the NU Stipend is awarded to bachelor and master students unconditionally and is paid on a monthly basis.

In the following semesters, the NU Stipend is awarded to bachelor and master students by the results of the examination session in accordance with criteria for awarding and paying the NU Stipend and is paid monthly.

Transport Compensation

Transport compensation is paid to foundation year program students, undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate (bachelor degree) and graduate (master’s) students receive transport compensation twice a year in February and June. Foundation year program students receive transport compensation once a year in February. Alumni students receive transport compensation once a year.

Other types of stipends

In addition, there are other types of stipends available. Nominal and other stipends are established by government agencies, legal entities and individuals. The amount, terms and conditions of stipends are established by their founders.
