Second Open Olympiad in Programming for students in Nazarbayev University

Nazarbayev University Research and Innovation System continues series of Olympiads in programming NU OPEN. Olympiads held twice a year: NU OPEN Fall, NU OPEN Spring.

NU OPEN Spring 2013 focused on high school students who have an experience in the Olympiads in Programming. One of the goals of olympiad is to identify talented young people to whom NU could offer their services to for getting higher education in computer science and information technology.

Format of NU OPEN Spring 2013 Olympiad is Individual Olympiad in ACM ICPC format with following features:
•    Full-time and distance (internet) participation are expected
•    Duration – 5 hours
•    Problems will be offered in English.

Date – 31 March 2013
Place of tournament – Astana, 53 Kabanbay Batyr Ave., block 5, 2nd floor of Library
Olympiad starts at 12:00 – Astana time.
Finish time – 17:00
Award ceremony – 17:30

Olympiad will be held on site

Programming languages: C++ (g++), C (gcc), Free Pascal, Python, Java.

Certificate of successful participation will be sent by email for all the best participants determined by organizing committee.

Participation in NU OPEN Spring 2013 is free. Moreover, those, who took first ten places in full-time tournament in Astana will receive money prize from sponsor. First place – 40,000 tg, 2nd – 25, 3rd – 20, 4th – 15, 5th – 10, …, 10th place – 10,000 tg.

During full-time tournament sponsor will provide food for participants.

When you register to contest, Group is considered to be one of required fields: if you choose full-time participation, fill “on-site”, if distance one – “remote”.

Online registration for full-time tournament ends on March 31 at 8:00. Physical registration of full-time participants in Nazarbayev University: March31, 11:00-11:30.
