The professional development program for secondary-school teachers continues in the framework of the implementation of trilingual education in Kazakhstan

Education Excellence Center is running Professional Development Program for 4181 Secondary School STEM Teachers who are currently working in the secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan since September 4, 2017. Under the implementation of trilingual education set by The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the program aims to equip secondary school STEM teachers with professional skills and improve communicative competence of English.
Trilingual education is a priority direction of development of the education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the State program for the Development of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2016-2019, the training is held in the framework of implementation of trilingual education gradual transition and is aimed to train teachers to teach science subjects in Secondary Schools of the RK in English from September 1, 2019 in grades 10-11.
Nazarbayev University holding Professional Development Program for Secondary School STEM Teachers since 2016. Previously, in order to improve the level of English and learn the basics of teaching methods it was organized professional development program for 675 STEM teachers in 2016. In 2017 we trained 829 teachers of secondary schools in all regions of Kazakhstan.
