NU’s Foundation Year Program (NUFYP) is a one-year, full-time program of Center for Preparatory Studies.
Nazarbayev University provides an intensive academic, scientific, and language proficiency preparation to NU’s undergraduate study programs. Students are given the tools to successfully complete NU’s degree programs.

The Master's degree is the second stage of higher education. The duration of Master's degree programs is from 16 months to 2 years (exception: Doctor of Medicine - 4 years and Residency - 3-5 years, depending on specialization).

Doctoral Degree programs give students a path to create and defend a dissertation to earn a Ph.D. This is the most prestigious degree bestowed by universities. It requires a high level of demonstrated aptitude and passion for the subject matter.
