Foundation Year Program

NU’s Foundation Year Program (NUFYP) is a one-year, full-time program of Center for Preparatory Studies.

NU provides an intensive academic, scientific, and language proficiency preparation to NU’s undergraduate study programs. Students are given the tools to successfully complete NU’s degree programs.

Undergraduate Programs

NU’s undergraduate students receive a comprehensive education. This is achieved through a combination of classroom research with hands-on projects. All our graduates are expected to become subject matter experts who can apply their skills to real-world situations throughout their careers.

Master's Degree Programs

The Master's degree is the second stage of higher education. The duration of Master's degree programs is from 16 months to 2 years (exception: Doctor of Medicine - 4 years and Residency - 3-5 years, depending on specialization).

Doctoral Degree Programs

Doctoral Degree programs give students a path to create and defend a dissertation to earn a Ph.D. This is the most prestigious degree bestowed by universities. It requires a high level of demonstrated aptitude and passion for the subject matter.

Seven schools of NU offer Ph.D. programs:

  1. School of Sciences and Humanities
  2. School of Engineering and Digital Sciences
  3. School of Mining and Geosciences
  4. School of Medicine
  5. Graduate School of Education
  6. Graduate School of Public Policy
  7. Graduate School of Business
 

Ph.D. candidates must meet strict requirements to qualify, as determined by the school’s administrative board.
