Students accepted into the M.A. program are also able to explore languages, histories, societies, politics, and societies of Eurasia and study in Astana amid access to government agencies, fieldwork sites, archives, international organizations, etc. We define Eurasia inclusively, comprising not just the five post-Soviet republics of Central Asia, but Xinjiang, Mongolia, Afghanistan, the Caucasus, Russia and Eastern Europe.
