Kamal Regmi

Assistant Professor, School of Mining and Geosciences

Research Interests:

I am interested in most of the aspects of magmatic rocks. However, I am more inclined toward arc magmatism, granite petrogenesis, magma mixing/mingling, enclave petrology, and inorganic geochemistry, particularly in single-crystal dating, and Lu-Hf isotope analysis in zircon and cosmogenic isotopes.

Personal profile:

Experienced exploration geologist/geochemist with work experience in the thrust and fold belt of the Himalayas; LFB Australia; volcanic rocks of Fiji; and Damaraland of Namibia.

Education/Academic Qualification:

Ph.D. in Geology, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia

MSc in Exploration Geology, SPMI, St. Petersburg, Russia
